I just did this on a 2011 MBP. Worlds of difference, you will not regret it one bit! The drive doubler kit is fantastic.
Note that for the 2011 the OE drive slot can be used at 6GB, SATA3 but the 2nd drive bay only runs at SATA2/3GB.
2nd edit - that’s an OWC drive, not the OWC data doubler, never mind!

It’s a phenomenal upgrade... I got my 256GB for only $89.99

I’ve never had good experienced with SSDs. It seems that their failure rates were higher than conventional drives.

the early stuff wasn’t great, but I believe everything after sandforce has been pretty solid.

Never had any issues with them, and I’ve had about a dozen or so.
